Numerical study of trimaran wave load based on time-domain Rankine method
نویسندگان
چکیده
Due to the complex fluid interference between outrigger and main hull, it is difficult predict trimaran load fluctuation accurately in different marine environments. Therefore, a time-domain Rankine method developed improve accuracy of prediction. This successfully adds nonlinear components simulation by taking into account factors such as instantaneous hull wetted surface, steady ship waves, green wave slamming. Additionally, growth slamming also observed at wet deck, with increasing speeds heights. Finally, relatively smaller errors are confirmed comparison values from model test linear prediction method. Furthermore, weakly considered be more suitable for under harsh environment.

Incompressible SPH method based on Rankine source solution for violent water wave simulation
With wide applications, the smoothed particle hydrodynamics method (abbreviated as SPH) has become an important numerical tool for solving complex flows, in particular those with a rapidly moving free surface. For such problems, the incompressible Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (ISPH) has been shown to yield better and more stable pressure time histories than the traditional SPH by many papers...
متن کاملNumerical Absorbing Boundary Conditions Based on a Damped Wave Equation for Pseudospectral Time-Domain Acoustic Simulations
In the context of wave-like phenomena, Fourier pseudospectral time-domain (PSTD) algorithms are some of the most efficient time-domain numerical methods for engineering applications. One important drawback of these methods is the so-called Gibbs phenomenon. This error can be avoided by using absorbing boundary conditions (ABC) at the end of the simulations. However, there is an important lack o...
متن کاملA Probabilistic Three-Phase Time Domain Electric Arc Furnace Model based on analytical method
An electric arc furnace (EAF) is known as nonlinear and time variant load that causes power quality (PQ) problems such as, current, voltage and current harmonics, voltage flicker, frequency changes in power system. One of the most important problems to study the EAF behavior is the choice of a suitable model for this load. Hence, in this paper, a probabilistic three-phase model is proposed base...
متن کاملTime-domain Numerical Solution of the Wave Equation
This paper presents an overview of the acoustic wave equation and the common time-domain numerical solution strategies in closed environments. First, the wave equation is presented and its qualities analyzed. Common principles of numerical approximation of derivatives are then reviewed. Based on them, the finite difference (FD) and the finite element methods (FEM) for the solution of the wave e...
